RE: Workstation Data Areas

This is what I do.

Batch Job Que Name      :QBATCH
Library                 :QGPL

Batch Job Description   :BPCS
Library                 :(Your user library name where object BPCS lives)


Output Queue Name       :(Put the printer work station number here)(*note1)
Library                 :*LIBL
Hold Output Que :N

Writer/Printer Device   :PRT01
LIbrary                 :*LIBL

Note 1: Our work station numbers are created as follows. RCM001S1,2,5
                RCM:    =       Royal Canadian Mint
                001:    =       Unique number given to user station (each PC
has a different number)(this way each user is identified uniquely).
                S:      =       Session 
                1:      =       QBATCH
                2:      =       Jobs ran at night (You will need to create a
new jobq that holds jobs and have your operators release them at night)
                5:      =       Printer sessions

By changing (Output Queue Name) to RCM001S5 (printer session) and having
(Hold Output Que) to "N" anything the user generates will print
automaticaly.

VERY IMPORTANT:
        1. Users will be users
        2. Anything they have access to they will use and sometimes run a
report that is 1200 pages long. Remember you are not holding their output,
so this report will print.
        3. JOB LOGS. You may have your job logs turned on. This should be
verified. On a command line enter the following
        WRKJOBD JOBD(###/BPCS) ### = Your user library where your object
BPCS resides. Make sure that under (Message logging) Text is set to *NOLIST.
This will prevent your job logs (if jobs ends normally) from printing.
