IBM _has_ done something in WDSC 5.1.2 - it's really pretty good, and there is automatic indenting for control constructs in the RSE editor. I've set mine to start the commands in column 3, IIRC, and additional lines in column 14. Also, I put each parameter on its own line.

ENHANCEMENT IDEA:
One thing I'd like added is to put elements of list parameters on separate lines. An example is the PARM parameter of a CALL.

I've found a few problems with the prompter and the parser, but they are being addressed. The formatting is actually pretty cool, IMO, and this from a person who has complained as much as anyone about this product.

You should be able to get to the whole thread from here.

It will break in V5R3 because there are a whole slew of new control
constructs in CL and the formatter will need an overhaul to handle them.
I'd much rather IBM do something in WDSc.
