Re: Using inav to copy from IFS to local pc

fixed

I am having trouble configuring filezilla. Would anyone be willing to
share their configuration and/or point me in the right direction. I'm not
much of a network or hardware guy and am struggling with this.

Thanks.

Rich

I actually prefer filezilla. Just download it and go with it. Cool thing
about it is that it can be configured to automatically handle ascii or
binary,
will handle nested subdirectories,
etc.
I also use it for shipping files up to IBM.
I've even used it for Domino migrations from Windows to IBM i (and vice
versa). Actually, it was watching someone do one of these that got me
started with FileZilla. (Thanks Ed!).

Thanks for your responses. It is my own p.c. The drag/drop doesn't seem
to work. It creates a .tmp file in the destination drive with size of 0.
How tough is it to use filezilla? Is that an open source utility?

Thanks again.

Is this your own PC or an end user? If it is yours and you have RDi
loaded
you can drag/drop it using that.

Alternatives include mapping a network drive to the IFS or simply using
FTP from the PC to download the file. Personally I use Filezilla for
this
task rather than do it by hand.

All,

Is there a way to copy a file on the IFS to a local PC using Inav?
I
have created a file (pipe delimted) in a directory on the IFS and need
to
import that file to a local p.c.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
