File,
Site Manager,
New Site,
General tab, enter host name, user id and password
Advanced tab, enter in "Default remote directory".

You may want to create two sites:
MYIBMI with a default remote directory of YOURLIB
MYIBMIifs with a default remote directory of /home/richard

Actually I use one, but my default remote directory starts out in the IFS.
I can always switch to '/qsys.lib/mylib.lib' if needed. Entering that
'namefmt' command, while possible, is better worked around with a default
remote directory. If you leave it at the system default of QSYS, you know
that it can take a LONG time to list out every object in that directory,
right? Really critical to set a default remote directory. Even if you
mostly use it for transferring out of that directory or library with
10,000 plus objects you still may want to make your default be some
smaller directory, just to get it to start faster.
