RE: PTF needed for V3R7

fixed

Actually 3.7 CUMS were on CD rom. If anyone has the last CUM for 3.7 that
might have it. Anyone. I suspect that most people have pitched old stuff
like this. This is the only box we have on an antiquated OS release. It
runs, does not very specific function, and does not need any upgrade. Not
to mention the cost to upgrade it.
If someone can help, that would be great. I did a SNDPTFORD also. I got an
error when I specified that I only wanted an electronic PTF, but when I said
any delivery was fine, it accepted the order and send the PTF would be
mailed. I guess we will see.

Hey Carl, don't panic, that just comes with old age. <g>

Actually it's far more likely you're "ignorant" because you've likely never
had this opportunity before. I've never done this, and I did a short stint
as a sys admin for a shop that had six AS/400s spread out in three
countries.

IIRC, PTFs are delivered as save files, and they are restored to QGPL,
although there appear to be other "product" libraries that have QSI#####
save files as well. In your case, I think you're looking for a save file
named QSF45415.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance with that. I haven't seen V3R7 for a
very long time now, and I know of no one that currently has access to it.

BTW, do you know if this PTF was on a cume tape? If so, there's probably a
better bet that someone still has some old cume tapes stashed in a cabinet
somewhere.
