More 'Opcodes' (is that more OS/400 commands?) isn't the problem. To most of us who want enhancements multiple file support isn't the thing that's needed(if you're doing I/O's use a language that was designed for it like RPG or Cobol (can you believe I said Cobol jon?)) What we are asking for are SUBROUTINES and Data Structures and other variable types. I really need the equivalent of externally defined structures in RPG. I would like to define a CL structure (via a file format) and have it define the subfields automatically(&fields). That way if I change the variable I change that portion of the structure. With out having to hard code like this; %SST(&STRUCTURE X Y) positions.
