  • Subject: Rumba Office Question

Hello all.

We have just installed Rumba Office 16 bit version on our
network and are having problems with the AS/400 connection.
I'm trying to connect to our AS/400 through the Rumba Router.
The connection is made but if left idle for a period of 3 to 5
minutes the connection is lost. If you go to the AS/400
operator terminal you will see a vary on status for the
workstation. No error messages are displayed at the console.
However if I use our current NS/Router the connection is very
stable.

We want to move away from NetSoft because we have many
different types of systems in our hospital, ranging from Dec
Alpha Boxes to an offsite mainframe.

Some other basic information that may be important: We are
running V3R2 on the AS/400. The Network is running Novell
version 4.11. Rumba Office is version 2.1, 16 bit version. We
are running Windows 3.1 off from the Network.

Thank you in advance for any information that may help us.

Rich
