Just to clarify, using IWS means you only deal with your ILE program or
service program. You do not do anything with Java nor should you care
that an application server is used.

App server means I have to play with Java and that's never been my
favourite thing to do.

But I confess to having being put off by my experiments during the
early days of Websphere and I probably should get over it.

However, if I'm going to get heavily into something (effectively)
new for me, these days I would choose node.js not Java App servers.
