What are you trying to develop?
What is going to be primary language(s)?

It sounds like PHP from your choice of needed frameworks/libraries. If so make sure you have installed Zend. If this really Just RPGLE then the frameworks listed won't help you much, at least that I'm aware of.

Subject: [WEB400] Best Development Tools

Hello Gang,

I know that I want to create a development environment on my partition.

I know I need to install Composer and Doctrine; maybe Symphony.

Are there any other tools I might want to install?

Is there something better that System i Navigator.

My primary development machine is a Windows 10 laptop; that is at work in the office. But at home my primary is Linux, Unbuntu.

I am going to build 1 or 2 boxes for the office. The previous developers used WebSmart from BCD Software To write most of the RPG. So because of that, I am stuck with windows. The WebSmart PML is a lot nicer to work with than directly with RPG.

Thanks
Rob
