There have been many efforts over the past 20 years for this. Seen the
wiki lately? Hasn't been touched in years... (or was when I last checked).

RPGenerationX.com? Hahha.. that one was fun.

I set up fieldexit.com mainly for myself and customers but also if anyone
else wanted to share what I call "proof of concept" projects... not just
demos with simple inventory or customer databases with 10 records...
something that you actually do! It make posting code nice (as well as
articles and blogs).

I also set it up as a proof of concept itself since it runs on an IBM i
(rare for most pages in our community these days) and uses RPG CGI along
with jquery.

I was chastized for "not another IBM i site!" hahah.. oh well.. it's good
for SEO. :)

FWIW there IS an effort underway that would consolidate much IBM i open
source product information, links to helpful sites and projects under one
roof. I am hopeful that there will be something of substance to get
started with within a week or two.

Been waiting for years to get this going and it looks like all that behind
the scenes works is beginning to pay off. Working on it...

Brad,

I would agree that most of the things I found on the Internet are: (a)
examples that are too simple to be useful to a serious developer in a
production environment, or (b) documentation that is so terse and
presumptuous about the knowledge of readers that it is useless for
beginners.

Node developers on the IBM i would do themselves a huge favor by setting
up a site somewhere to create community documentation and sharing of best
practices.

Thanks,
