I would agree that most of the things I found on the Internet are: (a) examples that are too simple to be useful to a serious developer in a production environment, or (b) documentation that is so terse and presumptuous about the knowledge of readers that it is useless for beginners.
Node developers on the IBM i would do themselves a huge favor by setting up a site somewhere to create community documentation and sharing of best practices.
