If RPG is out, you can use COBOL, or JAVA or PHP or NetData with REXX, probably Fortran or PHYTON also...

Apache runs very well in the AS/400, so does DB2/400 and most programming languages (one server, several jobs), but to run .Net you will need an extra server, I don't think .Net run native in the AS/400, so you will need the AS/400 as a data base server and a windows server.
