Symptoms lead me to believe that there is more problems with your computer
than fried modem and NIC. Was you computer on a surge protector? I am
thinking the MoBo got zapped. Maybe not enough to fry it, but enough to
cause problems? Any other "weird" problems with your computer since then?

Subject: [WEB400] SYSTEM EXCEPTION: ACCESS VIOLATION

Good morning everyone! (TGIF!!!)

Please excuse me. I know this is not AS400-related but I decided to posted
here
because is web-related and I know I can receive some orientation from the
list.

I have FP 2002, I can see all my pages, all tests are OK but when I try to
upload the web I have this message:

SYSTEM EXCEPTION: ACCESS VIOLATION

Then, the small wizard that sends a report to MS appears and I send it. I
have
done that 289 times (exaggerating a little). I have this problem since a
thunderstorm like three weeks ago. It burned my Ethernet card and modem.
But
that was no problem at all; I bought the hardware and back in business;
however,
software was not behaving well. Before that, I was working happily, no
hassles,
smooth uploads all the time. Since the storm, I have formatted my hard drive
3
times, installed MS Office Premium 2000 (Full Version), then installed FP
2002
and I still have this message. My web host service provider has cleaned my
site, removed and installed the FP Extensions but there are no positive
results.
I did that myself but the website still in trouble.

To add more pain, I have been trying to get MS Tech Support by using the
website
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;en-us;oasoem but when
asking
for the product id, it says that is expired . Hum? I uninstall FP 2002 and
then
reinstall it; I tried to upload the website (obviously using "Publish the
website" but the same message appeared. I tried to get the MS Support again
by
entering my NEW product id but again, it says that the ID is expired. Funny
isn't it? I am desperate, with no clues about what may be going wrong.

Can anybody help me here?
