On my connection issue.
I have multiple changes on my end.
Moved across the country, new laptop and new version of RDi.
After going to lunch my connection fails for RDi.
On my old laptop that never happened and I was 100% vpn.
I called the PC guys and they are unsure what changes need to be done on the laptop to keep my connection alive.
Can I get specific guidance on what needs to be changed?
I am seeing messages on what to do but not on how to do it.
Thank you!!

All,
Thank you for your responses.
Yep, I am 100% VPN, working remotely.
I changed locations and never had that issue before.
Scott, I will work on adding your suggestion.
Something I also having is that my connection drops.
New laptop and version of RDi.

I just started using a new version of RDi (Version: 9.6.0.10
20210202_0642) and something odd is happening.
I do a ctrl/s to save source and jump to my PDM session to compile.
(Yes, I know about compiling through RDi but we use scott's
preprocessor to add commands in comment section) The compile does NOT
contain my changes. If I wait to say 15 seconds and compile again the
changes are there.
Is there a setting in the new version to force the changes to disk
immediately?
Are you connected via a VPN?
As Scott mentioned, it takes a few seconds for source to be uploaded to the host. I only started experiencing this when I regularly used RDi over a VPN connection.
Just wait for the Synchronizing Resources message in the status bar to clear and your source will be fully uploaded and ready to compile.
IF you were using the normal RDi compiler function, you could hit shift-ctl-c to save & compile. In this case it would automatically wait for the synchronization process to complete.
