LOL, yes, that is true, exes don't work well on Macs. But the plug-in should do that. But you had to create the templates by hand without the help of the template builder. Not that hard.

Maybe the Freemarker jar is too old? It is old (v2.3.23), but I do not think that is the problem. Beside that the plug-in requires a minimum execution environment of JavaSE-1.6. That should not be a problem, too.

Are there any errors when attempting to install the plug-in? Does the Eclipse error log contain something interesting?
