I haven't tried to use the plugin Thomas - I was basing my comment on this part of the text on your github page.

"The TemplateBuilder.exe application is a C# project, located in directory TemplateBuilder of project com.freemarker.lpex.updatesite."

exes don't work too well on Macs.

Hi Jon,

Honestly I do not know whether or not the Freemarker engine (actually the jar file) runs on Windows only. I could not find anything like that on the Freemarker project page at:

https://freemarker.apache.org/

Maybe the Freemarker jar is too old? It is old (v2.3.23), but I do not think that is the problem. Beside that the plug-in requires a minimum execution environment of JavaSE-1.6. That should not be a problem, too.

Are there any errors when attempting to install the plug-in? Does the Eclipse error log contain something interesting?

Regards,

Thomas.

Looks like this only works for Windows Thomas - is that correct?

Jason,

Maybe the LPEX Freemarker plug-in could help you with your comment block and with other questions that you do not yet know.

Feel free to have a look at:

https://github.com/tools400/lpex-freemarker-template-plugin

You can add the zip file as an archived update site and install the plug-in from there. Then read the setup instructions (README.md on the project page) and start playing.

I know that the plug-in needs some improvements but I did not yet had time for that. But we use it all day long for years in the office and it works well for us.

Regards,

Thomas.

Does anyone have a user action or something setup where it will insert a comment block into their code?
When I'm coding python in Eclipse PyDev I can hit ctrl+4 and it will give me a comment block to insert comments into. Just curious if anyone had done the same thing in RDi.
