Re: Error installing DBeaver

That only works if you only ever need to see one set of results at a time Edmund. When Scott and others (including me) are demoing, that works just fine. But I frequently need to see and compare multiple results so I normally select the "Show in separate window" preference.

More to the point though - I was using the results as just an example. I frequently have the Open Source tools window, a 5250 or three, SSH terminal, Visual Explain, etc. etc. all open at the same time. Every other app I have that supports multiple windows has a "Windows" item in the menu bar to make navigation between them easier. ACS does not.

I have found that by clicking and holding the ACS icon in the dock I can get just the windows for the selected app to appear - but that is a neat feature of Mac OS - not ACS.

It is a vastly improved tool Edmund but still a bit clumsy compared with
tools like DBeaver.

For example - every time I run an SQL script it pops another window for
the results. But, at least on the Mac version, there is no "Window" menu
select item - so if I move off to another app - or even just look at the
results - it can be a royal pain to get back to them. Imagine if RDi
worked that way rather than contained within a single workbench and
you'll see what I mean.

My 12 Microsoft co-workers in my department love DBeaver, because
it has
code-assist. Not as good as Microsoft of course.

I recommend installing it BY ITSELF. Do not install inside of RDI.

You sure Jason? - maybe DBeaver have removed the compatible version?

I installed and used it on the current RDi base for quite a while
until an incompatibility with another plugin screwed me up and I
hadn't the time or energy to resolve it.
