Kerwin,

It makes no Rhyme nor Reason to me, some could call that behavior "Flaky".

So, I am calling another procedure program, and it appears that it NEVER likes the first parameter for some strange Reason. And the pop-up Hover is small and cannot show the value. <strange> Gives me the message "Debug Current Instruction Pointer".

Once again, highlight the FIRST variable, and then "magically" the hover works! Not like the Eclipse/Java debugger. And also note that the pop-up was resized to MUCH BIGGER. Which I like! But find that "sort of" strange to me.

Oh well, it happens... A little different from WDSC debug. Oh well...

Workaround:
* Highlight variable to enable Hover to work.
* Add variable to Monitor.
* Stretch the pop-up box, I haven't found a place to set the size and save it. Not a biggie to me, but I have an excellent mouse. <LOL>

PS. I will still love to hear if there is way to default the size of the pop-up. I would prefer it to be bigger.

At times, the pop-up has stayed "stuck" for me. Just hit the Escape-Key to have it disappear. :)

Subject: [WDSCI-L] LPEX Editor Fly-Over size issue

All this talk about 'Fly-over' in debugs got me thinking about an issue I have had a long time.
When in the LPEX editor and a fly-over pops up showing the definition of a variable sometimes you can see the entire definition and other times not very much.

How do I control the size of the fly-over box?

It would be nice to see enough information each time that I would not have to try to get my mouse in that box without it disappearing or having to hit the f2 while the box is open then using the scroll bars to see the rest of the box.

Here is an example of a small
