Just FYI for others.

I had to set mine to 5 to avoid timeouts. In my case I think it is the firewall/VPN that has a lower than usual timeout limit. I tried 15 but it still failed once or twice a day. At 5 it will sometimes remain alive for days at a time.

OK,

For me, having changed the TCPKEEPALV value to 15 as recommended, I've now
been connected for over 7 hours without a single Timeout Error.
It's only day 1, but clearly it has made a difference because normally I'd
have had at least 3 disconnect errors by now.

Thanks Mike for the info - you're a star!

Craig

Thanks Jim!

So, in essence, no harm, no foul by changing the TCPKEEPALV from 1000 to
15? I apologize if I'm not picking up the obvious from your response,
but
I want to make sure I don't introduce problems for already stressed out
developers and testers.

We see that all the time, particularly with the weighting on an

behaves
differently than some folks think.
