The proposal would be for new iProjects, no impact to existing ones.
Basically it is defaulting the preference to true and the preference only
impacts future actions.

And yes, this would strip all of the 12 bytes including the date area and
leaving the source as you would normally see on any other operating system
(except mainframe)

This is a preference so people who want to use i Projects with the sequence
numbers and dates can simply turn off that preference.

I don't care about sequence numbers.

Question for clarification: Would the setting be changed for existing
iProjects (ew), or only be set for new iProjects?
