That is how I read it.

I'm torn. I do think most people adapt when they absolutely have to.
But to me it feels a little like a parent enforcing rules on children,
because the parent (at least in principle) knows better. I hate to be
on either side of that (the parent or the child) in a (supposedly)
professional environment.
