The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
You can make the default "Open with" to be the LPEX editor. So that you can use double click.
Window -> Preferences
General -> Editors -> Files Associations
Find and select "*.txt" in File types
In Associated Editors, highlight Basic LPEX
Click Default button.
Click Ok button

Mine did that also when I double-clicked to open the text file. I had
to
right-click and select "Open With"... "Basic LPEX >Editor". ALT-R worked as expected.
