Brian,

Mine did that also when I double-clicked to open the text file. I had to right-click and select "Open With"... "Basic LPEX Editor". ALT-R worked as expected.

Edmund,

I noticed that when I open a file in the Lpex that doesn't have
an extension that maps to a parser (e.g. .txt) the alt-R function
maps to the Run menu instead of the more useful rectangular select.

Is there any preference I can set to retain the rectangular select
for all file extensions?

Thanks.

Brian
