How about a right-click menu option to go to current source location? Maybe by itself or in addition to a button?

The idea is similar to the "Expand Current Bookmark" feature in Adobe Reader.

Here, here. I rarely want the outline synchronized. In a previous release when the outline jumped around every time you clicked in the source, it was considered by many, myself included, to be a bug. Now that the outline bug is fixed, lets not break it again. A status indicator similar to the cursor position and text mode will suffice.
