Do you have IBM support there? This is the kind of thing they need to
hear. Now the Rational tools team watch this list, perhaps more than any
other group at IBM, so someone may help you from there.
There is a setting for getting a log in preferences - go to preferences
and enter log in the "filter" box at the top. Turn on everything, then
try the action that locks things up. Then go back and turn off the extra
logging - it can take a lot of disk if you don't.
Then try to contact IBM support about this - there might be a link on
the web site for the product, I haven't looked.
I believe you have had good responses from their team before here,
regarding issues around international characters. Give them a chance,
they are really working hard on these tools and have done a great job so
far. There are always bugs in every software we write - even yours!!!
And mine????

Vern

It's not worth using LPEX on Rdp8 for RPGIII, voila. Locks up every time I insert a line.
This makes modifying a large programme very frustrating. IBM should think about their European clients which seem always be a few years behind the States. We moved from Windows 3.11 to Windows 2000 in 2002 when we started using RPGIV. Our website was up and running in 2005. I never used Windows Vista and don't yet have Windows 7.
It may be surprising but In France, it would seem that we are more advanced than most in our utilization of ILE. Yet, 9 years after introducing RPGIV, we still have a lot of RPGIII that work and don't need fixing. I would not be surprised if they were still there 9 years from now. But what editor will we be using?
