I had a recent conversion with the RD group at IBM.
This is the response to Windows 7, 64-bit running RD for Power.
Regarding your question:
Note:
IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software V7.6 is not supported on Microsoft Windows operating systems running on 64-bit processors.
LINK:
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg27018787
The following snipit, is from the above link.
Note:
IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software V7.6 is not supported on Microsoft Windows operating systems running on 64-bit processors.
The listed operating systems support all of the languages that are supported by IBM Rational Developer for Power Systems Software V7.6.
Now, that being said, we are also running V7.6 on 64-bit Windows 7..... with no issues.
Have a great day,

We upgraded to 7.6 recently because I got a new 64-bit Windows 7 machine and I believe the latest version is the only one that officially supports on Windows 7, That is not to say that other versions won't run on Windows 7.

Plugin development.
I like to use the most recent, but must create plugins that work on previous versions for customers.

Any particular reason you install them all in the same Windows instance?for
I would consider having a virtual machine for each to keep things clean.

There are no plans to support Microsoft Windows 7 on RationalInteresting ... I'm currently running RDi 7.5 on a 64bit Windows 7

As a plug-in developer, I have to support multiple versions of WDSC,
RDi,
RDp ... I installed RDp 7.6 first, and started moving backwards.--
I haven't found the WDSC install media, so that's not yet installed.
