Hi, everyone:
If they are going to charge separately for SEU, then, dare I ask, is IBM about to revert to charging separately for each compiler? (ILE RPG IV, ILE COBOL, ILE C, ILE C++, and so on)? :-o
If so, this is indeed a SAD DAY for the platform, because this will mean that many shops will only pay for one compiler (usually RPG) that they "need" and then they will not be able to take advantage of what little open-source stuff is out there now for i5/OS ... much of it is written in C.
I hope IBM would at least continue to "bundle" all of the ILE compilers for one price.
