Re: IBM Rational Developer for System i V7.1

Now we understand some of what you've saying in the past few weeks, about
that nondisclosure agreement, and waiting for IBM to make announcements.
It must be nice to actually be able to say something finally. Even with
all my doom and gloom about the way I see the announcement affecting my
shop, thanks for clarifying some of better than the lawyers did in those
official announcements.

showed

us. You want it on the standard version of our tool? OK, pay per seat

it too.

As I understand it, the cost per-seat for the base RDi tool, which will
include the screen designer, is less than the cost for WDSC AE. I think
they are still kicking around the concepts of named seats, concurrent
seats, transferable seats and all that craziness. But the whole
industry is having problems with that concept.
