Hey Larry

Way cool! Glad it is working for you.

I've wondered too if it's a kind of cheat - we still have to use the STRRSESVR command, after all. I think what some want to see is for WDSC RSE to start a session when an interactive command is run. Now that would also still have to be an emulator, so is it a cheat this way? Probably not.

Anyway, you're a braver man than I am, Larry!

Vern

Hi all,

Wow! The Arcan plugin is really cool! It has a few little oddities, but hey, I'm not complaining. I can now perform all DSP commands and perform some preliminary tests of interactive (screen-based) programs. Of course, I would still use iSeries Access for integration and QA testing as I think it is important to test on the client the user will be using.

I have not opened a session yet today! The fact that I can go full-screen with my 5250 emulation means I can use the screen as-is.

Got to confess though. I'm not sure if this is a bit of a cheat. I can now work more-or-less completely within WDSCi, but I'm still using the 5250 emulator to perform some tasks.

Nah, an Integrated Development Environment was my aim, and I'm a little closer to it now. :-)

Thanks everybody!

Cheers
