My startup had a bit of a hang too. I did get an unhelpful message about one of the members in my workbench which went away by itself. Something to the effect of an operation being delayed with a square red icon to the right. When I close WDSC, I leave all my editing tabs open so that when I start it again I'm back to the same place editing-wise.
