Mine didn't hang like that. Whole process went very quickly, maybe 20 minutes including the Installation Manager update, and I didn't have any problem starting it back up. Didn't notice any amazing download speeds (we're on a T3, but it carries a lot of traffic), but I didn't watch the whole thing, either. This is 'only' a 2 GHz Core 2 Duo with 1 GB RAM (a laptop at that).

Local DSL internet company (Hickorytech) - I work from home. I pay for
8MB/768KB (down/up) but have never gotten those speeds before :-)

Maybe the fact that I am doing it early in the morning has a lot to do with
it.

Note to others upgrading: I just started WDSC after installing the update
and it hung on the "splash" page for about 5 minutes before finally fully
opening up. Note my normal startup time is probably 20 to 30 seconds (on a
4 processor machine with 4GB RAM). Guessing it was upgrading my workspace
somehow someway?
