I was told how to get more than one program up on the screen. Now I
can't figure out how to close the second view without removing the tab
also. Is this a feature or is the way to do it as hidden as it was to
get 2 programs up ?

Thanks

Right click the view you want to close & select the Close view option.

Thanks,

That only works when you open a second view of the same program. I am
talking about having 2 different programs visible like back in SEU when
you did an F15. I had 3 programs up and wanted to copy some lines from
one to the other so I opened the second program and dragged the tab
until the grey line appeared. Now I can't just close the window and
leave the tab there I have to close it and the tab at the same time. It
seems to me, that you should be able to leave the tab up.
