It sounds like to me that he's undocked his editors so that he can view two
sources side by side and is now looking to dock them so that he only sees
one window at a time.  Unfortunately, I don't have it open to tell him how
to go about it.

members up. You close one of the source members & the tab goes away.  If
that is what you are asking, that's just the way it works.  Each tab is
like an "instance" of the LPEX editor.  When you close the source member
that "instance" is closed so the tab & member are released.  To my
knowledge there is no way currently to do what you are asking (but I
have been wrong before LOL).  When you open another member the "tab" &
the newly opened source member should be there since a new "instance" of
the LPEX editor has been opened/created.  If this is a new feature you
would like then you should open a ticket with IBM WDSC team (they
monitor this list quite a bit but it's better if you submit a request
for change).
