If I understand correctly now...you have 2 or more different source members up. You close one of the source members & the tab goes away. If that is what you are asking, that's just the way it works. Each tab is like an "instance" of the LPEX editor. When you close the source member that "instance" is closed so the tab & member are released. To my knowledge there is no way currently to do what you are asking (but I have been wrong before LOL). When you open another member the "tab" & the newly opened source member should be there since a new "instance" of the LPEX editor has been opened/created. If this is a new feature you would like then you should open a ticket with IBM WDSC team (they monitor this list quite a bit but it's better if you submit a request for change). Now I can't figure out how to close the second view without removing the tab also. Is this a feature or is the way to do it as hidden as it was to get 2 programs up ? Thanks, Tommy Holden That only works when you open a second view of the same program. I am talking about having 2 different programs visible like back in SEU when you did an F15. I had 3 programs up and wanted to copy some lines from one to the other so I opened the second program and dragged the tab until the grey line appeared. Now I can't just close the window and leave the tab there I have to close it and the tab at the same time. It seems to me, that you should be able to leave the tab up. Bill Barnes
