Rational Product Updater 'just works' as far as I am concerned. We
also
managed to download the first fixpack for version 6 and update all of the developers without downloading for hours each time. How did you do it, Adam? Did you use the procedure described by Mark Phippard?
No. It was a while ago, but I think we downloaded the fixpack from WDSC website mentioned by Dave Turnridge in an earlier post. Then we put it on a network drive. I think it went something like this: 1. Copy fixpack from network drive to the PC. 2. Unzip 3. Point Rational Product Updater to the policy.xml file in the directory that was just unzipped. 4. Ask RPU to find updates. 5. Accept license agreements and start update. 6. Wait for a long time. 7. Workbench is started with new fixes. Note that this is from memory, and it was for 6.0.1.1 - given some time I might be able to give more details, I think the process is documented somewhere. We'll have to do some more 6.0.1.1 -> 6.0.1.2 updates at some point, so I might try that method again.
