Thanks, Charles, for provide this suggestion, and this is the right thing to do in the situation Diane described. But unfortunately, there is a limitation in the WDSc debugger right now that it requires the application to execute something before the debug session being fully displayed (i.e, you could see the callstack, eval a expression, etc). We've awared this problem, and it is on the very top of the list of things we want to enhance. For now, in the situation like this, it is better to use green screen debugger. Find the job and expand it. Right click and select debug as-->iSeries job Charles Wilt -- iSeries Systems Administrator / Developer Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America ph: 513-573-4343 fax: 513-398-1121

On the green screen, I would "strsrvjob", then "strdbg" for the program in error. The green screen debugger is now invoked at the exact line of my program error. I am trying to find out how I can invoke the debugger within WDSC for this same scenario, where a program is already running, an error occurs, and no SEP has been set.
