What you have said is the same with my situation. I am curious to know if there are any eclipse errors being thrown behind the scenes that could help determine the problem. I will monitor the error log the next time this happens to see if that might lead to the resolution of the problem. The first time I open a file, RSE copies the file into ~\workspace\RemoteSystemsTempFiles\LOCALHOST\c\... Thereafter, reopening the file opens the version in this directory rather than the one I expected. Phil
