John, One thing that could help you remember your place is to hit the backspace on the "Find" text before you cancel the search. If you have already started to type something in the "Find" line then you would have to either hit the backspace a couple times, select the text and delete, or hit Home and Ctrl-Del. This will reposition your cursor to the initial position in the source member before the searching ever started. The next time you hit Ctrl-F though, that text won't be there since it would have been deleted from the previous cancel. This ability of searching and then being able to return is something the CODE editor does not have. Be sure when using Home and Ctrl-Del to delete text in the "Find" line that you DO NOT hit Ctrl-Backspace as this will delete the source member line. That particular behavior appears to be a bug. Normally you would think Ctrl-Backspace would delete everything in the "Find" line but it apparently only has significance on source member lines. IBM, is Ctrl-Backspace on the "Find" line a known bug and will there be a fix? Craig Strong John wrote: I understand how it works now. I just find it more annoying than convenient. Sometimes I hit CTRL-F by mistake; other times I just want to cancel a search rather than going through with it. The annoying part is that when I do cancel the search, I've completely lost my place in the source member.
