Ctrl+Backspace in the context of the LPEX command line (which includes the live-find dialog) is defined to delete the current line. The "Find" text field (an Eclipse/native text widget) doesn't interpret Ctrl+Backspace as a delete (and LPEX can't do much about that...).

You can disable the "delete current line" for this key when on the LPEX command line:

Window > Preferences > LPEX Editor > User Key Actions >
  Key: c-backSpace.c
  Action: nullAction
(ensure correct capitalization) > Set > OK.

Be sure when using Home and Ctrl-Del to delete text in the "Find" line that
you DO NOT hit Ctrl-Backspace as this will delete the source member line.
That particular behavior appears to be a bug. Normally you would think
Ctrl-Backspace would delete everything in the "Find" line but it apparently
only has significance on source member lines. IBM, is Ctrl-Backspace on
the "Find" line a known bug and will there be a fix?
