RE: Update 5.1.0.2 available

Mark,

After setting this link up and then clicking on it I get the "Unable to
access" error message, yet when I try it in my browser it works. Is
there some proxy information I need to setup in Websphere? I am on
version 5.1 build 20030908_2154.

Go to Install/Update Perspective.  In the Feature Updates view
right-click 
and choose New -> Site Bookmark.  Enter a description like WDSC Advanced

Updates and this for a URL:

http://www3.software.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/websphere/iseries/wdsca5
1/update

Then click OK and just expand it to install the updates.

Bonus is you do not have to wait for 10 minutes why the New Updates 
checking process runs.

Mark, that is what I reported below.

There are five Features installed, and when I select the WSAD, it has a
version of 5.1.0 and Build 20030726_2016 listed near the icon. The first
Provider/Feature in the list box is IBM WebSphere Studio Application
Developer version 5.1.0.1  Feature Id com.ibm.wsappdev.ga.win32

The icon for WDSC Advanced Edition for iSeries has Version 5.1  Build
20030908_2154 and the first Provider/Feature in the list box is
WebSphere Development Studio Client Advanced Edition for iSeries version
of 5.1.0 and Feature Id com.ibm.wdsclientadv

I rename the .config folder and restarted That caused the Available
updates to no longer report a 5.1.0.1 was available.  But still no
5.1.0.2

Maybe I will wait for Friday to download the APAR fix from IBM service.

I would also try renaming the .config folder in the .metadata folder of
your workspace and then restart WDSC.  That might help it figure out
that 5.1.0.1 is installed.

On the help About, I have Version: 5.1   Build id: 20030908_2145
Click the icons, I have: 
WSAD (Windows) version : 5.1.0  (the first line has a Feature  of WSAD
version 5.1.0.1) WDSCi Advanced version : 5.1 

Note that this is the WDSC-I Advanced Edition for iSeries product, not
the standard version.

When I search available updates, I get one result:
Interim Fix for WebSphere Studio Application developer 5.1  version
5.1.0.1

That fix shows even after I have loaded it and restarted WDSCi.

Kevin, could you confirm you have WDSc V5.1.

Select "Help -> About WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries".
The version tag should say 5.1.0.1 and not 5.0.1.

The problem you're describing below is a WDSc V5.0 problem, where we
continuously showed the 5.0.1 fixes even though they were installed.

If you are on 5.1.0.1, have you installed a newer version of WSAD (like
5.1.1)?

With regards to supporting WSAD 5.1.1, we will not be releasing a WDSc
V5.1.1 product.  I'm not at liberty to discuss details, but an
announcement will be made in the near future.

When we run the update manager we do not see the 5.1.0.2 update. We do
see the 5.1.0.1 update , although it has been applied it still shows. We
are running WDSC 5.1.0 standard and advanced client, neither of which
can see the fix 5.1.0.2.

Also, any time frame for WDSC-i supporting 5.1.1 WSAD?
