There was a long discussion well over a year ago about indenting and I
thought someone from IBM collected up all the ideas and was going to try
to implement something. I feel there should be some intelligent
indenting, perhaps modelled after the Java editor. This would include
what Chris wants: When you key "endif:" it would move left, if necessary,
to line up with it's corresponding "if". And if you inserted a
conditional level, the included code should slide one tab stop to the
   right.

I don't know how difficult an algorithm this would require, or how much of
a load it would put on the processor. If it can't be done efficiently,
then a routine to re-indent code would probably be acceptable. And if you
didn't like what it did, it would be nice to simply "undo" it with Ctrt-Z.
