The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Thanks for the clarification. IBM is really trying, I can see, to make this
thing work.
In PDM, when I create a user option for a member, it can be run against an
object with unpredictable results. Is that what you refer to in the second
paragraph below?
A question - is there yet any way to get a mass search of source (and even
data files), as I can do with PDM option 25? E.g., if I've a subset of
PF-SRC in WRKOBJPDM, I can put 25 on them all (F13) and get all members in
all files processed. And it'll take actions I define in the Search window,
such as browse (5) or edit(2) or a user option. And optional output of the
results. And in Edit, I can set up a search-and-replace in the first member
found, and that setup is maintained throughout the rest of the search. The
mass search in CODE was very weak, and it seems the same in RSE or WDSC
generally. I use this enough that I would miss it in a GUI tool, and I
will go back to the green screen to do this every time, for now.
Anyway, I want to learn the new stuff but will go back to what I know,
since I need to get work done. The rest will dome, with the help of folks
such as you and others on this list.
BTW, I hope my response to Frank was reasonably balanced - pointers to
things I've found helpful, as well as caveats abou the current
implementation. I think I'm only a partial Luddite. ;-)
Thanks again

Vern,
You can perform user actions against multiple items. However, what I
think is an improvement over PDM, when you define the User Action you can
specify whether it only applies to a single selection. If you do this,
then it will not be available if you select multiple items.
I also like that you can tie actions specifically to objects or members as
well as specfic object or member types.
