Thanks for the reply and information.

While I think we can all appreciate the internal requirements you probably
have to go through to release something, I think that most of us wouldn't
mind the occasional "screw-up" slipping through if it meant quicker turn
around on some of these problems.  As you (IBM) have acknowledged, WDSC is
still somewhat a work in progress.  We would all benefit if we could get
quicker access to small fixes.  Besides, one of the nice features of the
Update Manager is that it is relatively easy for the user to back out a fix
if it turns out to cause a problem.

Hi Mark, the update manager  will not support  installation  of a new
release it will be a full new install, I just made the comment because of
Sam's note that the install of the 5.0.1 fix was very complicated, future
fixes will be easier to apply.
The Electronic delivery is for Passport Advantage customers only, these are
customers that order WDSC as a workstation product not as part of WDS. This
is nothing new it has been available in the previous releases as well, it
is a feature of Passport Advantage.

I agree with you that we should try to deliver more smaller fixes faster to
you, but we also have to juggle resources that are required to test these
fixes and check for regression that might occur.

Actually we will have one fix coming out soon, it will cover the save
problems with source members before a compile gets started that some of you
experienced, and a  fix for Search

Unfortunately the Outline view fix will not be in there because we have
some other dependencies, this will be fixed in 5.1.
