Dave, I really like the view and being able to look at a file layout and program source at the same time. Here is my history with the view. I started with it at the bottom of the perspective under the source member. This shows all of the available columns but not very many fields and results in a lot of rolling up and down. This morning it dawned on me that I could move it to the left of the perspective where I have the outline view and display more of the fields within the same window. This works great for viewing a large number of fields but it limits the number of columns I can see without scrolling. My personal preference would be to see the field name, length, type, description, and then format. I rarely use the format name but use the other columns heavily when trying to identify fields and their types. Because the format is the second column I wondered if I could hide it and maybe get the description into the window. Shorter type descriptions might help also. The length isn't an issue when displayed along the bottom of the perspective but with the limited space if the view is moved to one of the sides the space used is quite a lot.
