This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] There's a year end procedures document being passed around the JBA User group. On the whole it's a good starting point for year end processing in System/21. Of course every business is different - everybody's got their own reporting, audit, and security requirements. However, beyond the simple processing and reporting steps there are other procedures not included in the document that you might want to add to your year-end list. For example you might want to ask: Which System/21 files should I retain at year end? How can I access year end information during the audit period (several months later)? What's the best way to maintain Control account integrity? How do I ensure my largest assets (Inventory and Receivables) are under control and reported accurately? How do I make sure I have proper liability and accrual reporting at year end? How can I use queries to eliminate or minimize suspense account activity? Applying the right methodology not only ensures a "clean" close but could save hundreds of hours of employee time and thousands of dollars/euros in audit costs. Hope this helps. Best of luck with your year-end!
