It may be useful if contributors stated if they still use Customer Service (i.e. they are on maintenance) and if not how long ago they last used it. That way you will be better able to assess the current situation along with the woes of the past. I'm not sure that anyone can really comment on experience of facilities management as this may be a new venture for Geac in the Sys21 arena. Certainly Geac has the infrastructure of a world-wide network of AS/400s and servers, so you would expect some expertise there. Myself, I'm an ex JBAer of 15 years experience now working for a customer Tandy Brands who has recently renewed maintenance with Geac. We have a 'history' with JBA but are happy so far with what we are getting from CS. Sometimes there are hiccups, but there seems to be a genuine willingness to help. I'm sure I'll get 'ribbed' by some of my fellow ex-JBAers for this (I'm ready and waiting Paul & Stefan) but all opinions should be heard. AND, there is a difference between Advanced Cash and Classic when it comes to the CIND15. Advanced Cash will not show items that have a CIND15 = 'C' where Classic will as long as the value is not zero. (I may have this around the wrong way) I don't think you can allocate the JL to the IN but it is worth a try. Otherwise DFU is the answer. Re: Customer Service. Being an ex-JBA'er myself I understand the position the Sys/21 people are in. Many do try and provide customer service, however, days are a fixed length of hours and they are trying to justify their existence (they may be next to go). Re: Posting Police.... Seasons Greetings, I wish you all a happy and safe new year, especially the GEAC comrades past and present. Yes even you Lesley, Jim & John!!! Ps. Some like to remain clandestine so that they can provide assistance in real life.
