Right on Steve... Also WRKSYSACT (if you have Performance Tools loaded) will actually show performance of system TASKS that you cannot see using WRKACTJOB... Often times the system Tasks are the resource hog even though it may not be reflected in the active Job. A few Cume tapes ago we were having trouble with QZDASOINIT causing performance problems... Confirmation of FastPath pick list may be a performance hog, I don't know, we don't use it... If it uses SQL over large files or if it has to build access paths over large files every time it runs then that could be a cause for the performance hit... Wish I could be more helpful... steven.donnellan@simonjersey.com on 10/10/2002 12:26:40 PM Please respond to jbausers-l@midrange.com To: jbausers-l@midrange.com cc: (bcc: Jeff Klipa/Harvard) Subject Re: [SYS21] (no subject) : This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Do you have performance tools on your box? If so, WRKSYSACT will give you a clearer picture of what's going on. You do know you can move the cursor over to the CPU Utilisation column and press F16 to sort the nasty jobs to the top? Works Order Date Maintainance is our pet system killer, by the way!
