I have heard from a reliable source that Mt Laurel will definitely be
the only remaining office. It may even be as of this moment. As
someone who dealt with JBA in 1999, and now just beginning to again, the
answerlink option has been a godsend. But with only 1 consultant left
in our area, if you need on-site assistance, you need to book early.

I'm curious about the lack of discussion in this forum about the recent
layoffs of System/21 staff from Geac. Some of the rumors I've heard
include closing most of the offices, other than Mt. Laurel, and moving
support overseas to the UK, with the exception of a handful of people
who will remain stateside. I guess some staffers in the rest of the
country will be working from home, but some rumors say that only a few
dozen people will be left nationwide.

What's everybody else heard? How do you feel about that, especially
since Geac's been pushing so very hard not to allow any outside
resources to work on their clients' installations?

Pulling pin, walking away quickly,

Stefan Jansson
