We are running this option before the Euro Base conversion to limit the amount of data to be converted. What we observed is : - there are more than 20 files being purged for each WO; - the process is based on date fields (ARCD40 and WCHG40); - depending on the usage of your database and your hardware the proccess can last for days. If your manufacturing database is fully operated (using all options available) on a more complex model all files will be full of data entered by the operators. So your proccess can last for a long time (whatever time necessary to purge all files). Why does it take so long ? Because the proccess is validating each WO in MSP40 and then goes into each other file. When it finishes all files for that WO, reads next MSP40 record and so on. Hope this helps. By the way the proccess is running ok... if you let it run till the end ;) At 07:52 15-04-2002 -0400, you wrote: >Has anyone out there in Geac land run 31/MDU?
