Stuart,
I believe this is still not done in the standard system. A number of companies
have made modifications to allow it. The theory on why is it not done, goes
something like...

1. Transfer entire company's forecast to Manufacturing
2. Include all stockrooms in Manufacturing model for sales orders.
3. Run MPS and/or MRP for entire company's demand.
4. Transfer select forecasts to appropriate DRP model based on stockroom.
5. Include appropriate stockrooms in DRP model for sales orders.
6. Run DRP
7. DRP creates suggestions for the appropriate amount of stock from
Manufacturing stockroom.
8. If you have shortages, manage those items each run, or increase safety stock
on low cost items.

One challenge is when you aggregate suggested quantities up from the lower
level DRP runs, you may end up with higher demand than the MPS/MRP run did. It
is tricky!

We are struggeling with the supply and demand in MRP/MPS for DRP's.

Is there a setting in the company proflie that we can change to make DRP's a
supply instead of a demand, or if not in the profile, on the MSITEMAS?

Thanks,
